Why can’t you turn off your Ipod Touch after you jailbreak it?

By Miss Ipod • February 6, 2010 • Filed in: iPod Touch Jailbreak

My crony pronounced after we jailbreak an ipod touch, we can’t spin it off. Why not? Also, does this do anything to the ipod hold if we leave it upon sleep-mode whilst we assign it in the wall?

It depends. if you get an UN-TETHERED Jailbreak, you can’t turn it off as once you do, your iPod will be unjailbroken. However, if you get a TETHERED jailbreak, you can turn it off and on as much as you want. Check on http://www.ipodtouchfans.com forums for more info on jailbreaking in general.

Hope I helped :)

It is because the jailbreak is tethered so you have to run the jailbreak application on your PC every time you restart your iPod.

So a solution is just don’t turn off or restart it and just leave it on sleep mode. Its fine to leave it on sleep mode all the time even while charging.
