What’s the best and easiest way to jailbreak my iPod touch?

Hello, the more ’simple is to use a firmware Jailbroken already
first upgrade from 3.1 to 3.1.2 via iTunes, then restore iPod using the firmware that can be downloaded from (you can also find the complete guide)

This is a different answer to a different question but it is the same way so ignore some of the stuff

Download this to your desktop…Open up tunes and find the ipod on there .. hold the down the shift button and then click restore your documents will pop up find the file you downloaded …. Do not worry about the music it will eaisly go back onto the ipod … one you have updated go to this site…http://www.blackra1n.com/ scroll down to the bottom and choose either mac or Windows

Save this to your desktop also….
Open up the program and there is one button witch says make it rain …
before clicking it i sugest you close itunes… they continue to click the button on black rain.

the ipod will then go to a screen where it says plug into itunes… and then the picture of the black rrain will come up ( the same picture on the site you downloaded the black rain prog)

after this a box will pop up saying wait for reboot and bla bla bla …

once done the ipod will roboot.., and ther will be a black rain app

from tehre you download cydia and rock ….

Pointers : if the ipod is a third generation it will be unteather jailbreak.. MEANING that eveytime you respring or reboot or even turn off the ipod you will have to plug it into the computer and then run the black rain program again..this will not take off any music or info it is just to turn in back on

If you are jailbreaking a 2 generation ipod you will be running on a teather jailbreak and you will not have to run black rain everytime you reboot ipod..

One more thing when you get your ipod set up like you want it after a few weeks/month i would recommend that you restore your ipod and rejailbreak and download all the things again… this is because my ipod was running very slow because of all the things i have downloaded that i dont even use i really hope this works and sorry about some of the spelling i typed it fast …if you have questions plz ask
