You didn’t specify which firmware you have…
i dont see why u would need to jailbread an ipod…usually its used for iphones to use with a different service. if its so u can use it with a different itunes or computer u can register your ipod on either 3 or 5 computers. not sure if this helped but thats the best i can answer from your question
